Baseball Drops Rubber Game in Hawai’i

HONOLULU –Cal State Fullerton Baseball lost Game 3 of the series to Hawai’i by a final score of 17-3 Sunday afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium. Fullerton drops to 17-24 and 10-8 in conference play.

The Titans quickly took a 2-0 lead after scoring a run in the first and second innings. Jackson Lyon scored in the first inning on an RBI outfielder pick of Zach Lew. In the second, Cole Urman picked the middle to bring Jason Brandow home from the second.

Hawai’i responded immediately with four runs in the bottom half of the second set on a grand slam by Cole Cabrera. The Rainbow Warriors would go on to score two in the fourth, five in the sixth, two in the seventh and four in the eighth.

The Titans return to the mainland for a midweek game Tuesday night at Goodwin Field against BYU. The first pitch is set at 6:00 p.m.
