M7 and Printemps Doha launch a retail incubator program for Qatar-based fashion designers

Doha: M7, Qatar’s epicenter for innovation and entrepreneurship in fashion and design, and Printemps Doha, set to be the region’s largest luxury store when it opens in the third quarter of this year, announced the creation of The Collective.

A three-month mentoring program designed by M7 in strategic partnership with Printemps Doha, The Collective aims to guide a selection of established and emerging designers based in Qatar throughout their creative process while allowing them to better understand the world of the fashion. — connecting them with industry experts, offering them one-on-one mentoring and ultimately preparing them to enter the retail market.

After an initial screening process, 14 entrants selected from categories including womenswear brands, abayas and kaftans, evening wear, casual wear and accessories, will be invited to showcase their brand and showcase samples of their latest collection in September to a jury made up of fashion industry experts and retail professionals from M7 and Printemps Doha.

The jury will select seven designers who will have the exclusive opportunity to present their brand and sell their capsule collection in a dedicated M7 x Printemps Doha concept space after a three-month preparation period that will include workshops and coaching sessions.
