Where to buy Pixel 6/6 Pro: which retailers still have stock

0

Due to its reception by critics and Android fans, the Pixel 6 has become a tough phone to buy. Here’s where to find the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in stock to buy Google’s best phones for yourself.

Due to the continuing chip shortage, combined with “high demand” for the Pixel 6 Pro, some customers’ pre-orders have been delayed, while retailers struggle to keep phones in stock. In particular, the Google Store is currently unable to ship new orders for the Pixel 6 Pro until at least January. Fortunately, it’s all too easy to get the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro from places other than the Google Store.

Where Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are in stock

If you buy an unlocked phone in the United States, other than the Google Store, there are only four authorized retailers where you can buy the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro: Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, and Target. Of course, the four retailers are limited to selling only what they can get from Google, and the demand for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones currently massively exceeds the available supply.

The two retailers to really watch out for are Target and Best Buy, as it’s possible your local store has Pixel 6 units in stock in the store. Likewise, both retailers offer the option of having your order shipped to your local store for pickup – in case shipping to your home isn’t a good option for your situation.

We’ll be keeping an eye on each retailer’s inventory over the next few weeks and keeping you up to date with the fastest ways to buy the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

Last update: As of November 8, 2021, the Google Store has more stock of Pixel 6 Pro, the Stormy Black model being able to ship to customers in just a few days. Shipping estimates for the Cloudy White and Sorta Sunny models have also changed from early January to early / mid-December. Combined with the 3% / 10% store credit offered to Google One members, the Google Store is currently your best bet for getting the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro without tying you to an operator.

Beyond that, the top five retailers are able to take orders (or pre-orders, in one case) for the smaller Pixel 6, with some shipping to customers earlier than others. With any luck, you might even be able to get a same-day pickup from Best Buy or Target. Amazon is also a solid choice for the smaller Pixel 6 at the moment, as they offer all three colors and even the highest storage options in a matter of weeks.

Operators Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

In the United States, cellular carriers carry a lot of weight in the smartphone industry. As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that many of them can get you the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro faster than retailers. Better yet, many carriers can offer financing for your new phone which is included with your cell phone bill.

On the flip side, however, you’ll end up paying more for the smaller Pixel 6 if you buy through AT&T or Verizon, as those carriers sell mmWave variants which cost $ 100 more than unlocked models. Worse yet, it’s been noted that AT&T sells all of its Pixel 6 phones for $ 40 more than any other retailer or carrier, for whatever reason.

Last update: As of November 8, 2021, the Pixel 6 Pro is still in stock with multiple carriers, making it the fastest way to buy Google’s latest high-end flagship. It should be noted in particular that Verizon is the only carrier to offer the Pixel 6 Pro in both Sorta Sunny and Cloudy White, but all carrier options are currently out of stock until December. Meanwhile, AT&T is also offering the Pixel 6 Pro in Cloudy White, albeit with a delay of several weeks longer than the Stormy Black.

Fortunately, if you’re trying to get the smaller Pixel 6, pretty much every carrier you can think of has the phone in stock. It’s just a matter of how picky you are about color. Currently, T-Mobile and Verizon are the only two carriers to offer the Pixel 6 to Sorta Seafoam. Unfortunately, no carriers are currently taking orders for the Kinda Coral Pixel 6.
